Rogue One Releases New Int’l Trailers and Stills
Lucasfilm Releases New Rogue One Movie Stills and International Trailer
Revving up the industrial war complex in a galaxy far far away, Lucasfilm released new movie stills and an international trailer for Rogue One. In recent articles from USA Today, Entertainment Weekly and StarWarsNews.Net, new movie stills and character posters have been released for the upcoming Star Wars Anthology film. From Death Troopers to old and new rebels, you can see a variety of different characters involved in the pre-quel to ‘A New Hope’. In addition, two official international trailers and numerous TV spots have been released. They contain some new scenes and more Darth Vader.
If you haven’t seen the original trilogy, please turn away. For those that have seen them, you know that 95% of the characters in Rogue One are never seen in any of the other movies. With the exception of Darth Vader, Mon Mothma, and the Emperor, I don’t recall any of these characters making it past this film. Since the movie is based on the stolen plans to the Death Star found within R2-D2 at the beginning of ‘A New Hope’, we know that Princess Leia is involved and captured at some point. In addition, we know the Empire failed in keeping the secrets from getting out. With the temper we saw from Vader at the end of ‘Revenge of the Sith’, we know he has the rage to kill anyone who crosses him. My guess is Jyn Erso is able to get the plans to Princess Leia before Vader and the Empire kills all the Rebels. In addition, I believe Vader will kill any of the officers involved in the failure of keeping the secrets of the Death Star.
You can watch Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on December 16th at a theater near you. What do you think of the new stills and trailers?
