The Incredibles Sequel Moved Up to Summer 2018
The Incredibles Sequel Super-Speeding to Summer 2018
Ever since a sequel for The Incredibles was announced to be in production, fans have been screaming, “FINALLY!” The 2004 original smash-hit raked in over $633 million from theaters worldwide. Some comic book fans consider Pixar’s animated film the best iteration of the Fantastic Four to ever hit the big screen. With three failed attempts to do Marvel’s first family justice, with the most recent being a major disaster, many were clamoring for a sequel to the animated hit. After initially being set for a summer 2019 release, fans will be excited to hear Pixar has swapped the release date with Toy Story 4. This will bring the lovable super-powered family back to theaters a year earlier on June 15, 2018.
With director Brad Bird set on returning to write and direct the sequel, the franchise is already out to a great start. In addition, composer Michael Giacchino has been confirmed to return. At this time, casting has not been announced and no word on whether the original actors will return to voice their characters. The closest information we have to a return is from Samuel L. Jackson. He stated back in 2014 he would most likely return to voice his character, Frozone, for a sequel. The great thing about voice-acting is it’s less demanding than physical acting. So, a return by the entire cast is very attainable even if with different schedules.
