Legends of Tomorrow Episode 2×04 Stills & Promos

Seeking Justice

At the end of the second episode, Hourman dies in the arms of Vixen. With his dying words, he mumbles ‘time traveler’ to her. Move forward to ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Episode 2×03: Shogun’ and we find Vixen seeking justice for Hourman’s death. She believes Mick Rory aka Heat Wave is the killer based on a conversation from the previous episode. Methodically knocking out each member of the Legends, Vixen makes her way to Rory with a knife. A fight ensues resulting with Vixen about to kill him. Before she can do so, Nate’s powers manifest as he stops her. While she’s locked up, Vixen explains a time traveler killed Rex Tyler aka Hourman. Sara realizes they might be chasing the same enemy, so she releases the JSA member. Before they discuss more, Nate accidentally lands himself and Ray in Feudal Japan after training goes awry.

What Kind of Hero Are You?

The theme of the episode seemed to be what kind of hero Nate and Ray are without the skills and powers of the others. After crashing in Feudal Japan, Nate is carted to a village while Ray is taken by the shogun. The shogun takes Ray’s Atom suit as Nate tries to stop the marriage of the shogun and his host. After being stabbed, Nate comes to realize his heroism is based on his courage. Until he can stop his fear of death based on his past as a hemophiliac, he can’t control his powers. In the meantime, Ray and Nate train and plan to destroy the suit to preserve the timeline. Without his suit or the powers he gave Nate, Ray must discover what kind of hero he truly is going forward.

Firestorm Keeps Secret That Teases Future

Before Rip Hunter disappeared, most likely to the town of Salvation, he taught Jax everything about the Waverider. While running diagnostics, Gideon reveals an unknown compartment. Stein is able to locate the secret compartment full of displayed weapons. The power turns on to reveal a communication display panel with a message. Barry Allen, from 2056, hailed Rip Hunter to warn him of something and to keep it a secret from his team. It’s either about the Invasion! crossover, the Legion of Doom, and/or consequences of Flashpoint. Since the two are keeping the secret from the team, we’ll have to wait to know what Barry told Rip. While trying to locate Rip and find Hourman’s killer next week, the team finds a time aberration. They must travel to 1863 to battle Confederate zombies while Sara feels the burden of being the leader and Ray struggles with his purpose without his suit.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 4: Abomination

Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) begins to feel the burden of the decisions she has to make as the leader, and Ray (Brandon Routh) struggles to find his purpose on the team.
