Doctor Strange Opening New Realities at a Theater Near You

In less than two weeks, Doctor Strange will expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe exponentially. What seemed impossible just ten years ago to so many geek driven comic book fans will become a reality. Marvel Studios is bringing Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange to theaters on November 4th. What promises to be the ‘strangest’ MCU movie to date, many claim the visuals will be mind-blowing. With the mystical realm introduced, it will be nothing short of the greatest influence of change to the universe. It’ll bring infinite worlds, universes, galaxies, realities and possibilities to the cinematic universe. It won’t just open a new chapter, it will open a whole library of different possibilities. If you want Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen or Squadron Supreme on the big screen, Strange is the person best suited for the job.

Early Tracking Has Doctor Strange Ahead of Ant-Man

Deadline reported nearly ten days ago, the movie is tracking from $55M-$75M and still trending up. With the embargo being lifted at 12:01 am on 10/23, the first critiques will be released. On social media and the internet, critics are giving positive reactions. With a huge star like Cumberbatch, Kevin Feigi’s experience, and what many are calling the best visuals in any superhero film, Doctor Strange should have no issues reaching closer to Thor: The Dark World ($85.7M) or Guardians of the Galaxy ($94.3M) opening weekend numbers. Since Feigi confirmed Doctor Strange and Wong are in Infinity War, it’s a great sign of approval.

The Ancient One Reveals A New Reality

With any superhero movie, there are always rumors and speculations floating around. It’s hard to sift through all of them to find the truth. However, when it comes directly from actors, directors or studio Presidents, it becomes fact. Over the last week, interviews with the main players have increased along with previously unknown tidbits about the film. Tilda Swinton told viewers on Jimmy Kimmel Live, there’s a planet other than Earth in the movie. “It’s a planet that, I’ve now seen the movie, and I can tell you it appears to great effect at the end of the movie,” stated Swinton. Speculation has the planet as the home world of Surtur to the planet Ragnorak from the Thor movie. We’ll find out in less than two weeks.

Power of the Sorcerer Supreme

Entertainment Weekly and IGN both had an opportunity to interview President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feigi. The information they obtained from Feigi pertains to the power of the future Sorcerer Supreme and a rumor about the Eye of Agamotto. After the previous report of Feigi confirming Captain Marvel will be the most powerful hero in the MCU, many wonder just how powerful Doctor Strange will be in the movies. “He’s not all powerful…he’s not an expert…even toward the end of the movie. So there’s a learning curve for him…and they face a pretty tough dude in the next Avengers movie,” says Feigi.

Eye of Agamotto Connection to the Time Stone

What makes Doctor Strange the Sorcerer Supreme won’t be just the Eye of Agamotto, as it’s one of many relics he has in addition to his knowledge of the mystic arts. However, many believe this specific relic has a greater overall importance in the MCU. As I believe, rumors have consistently pointed to the Time Stone being a part of the Eye of Agamotto. If rumors are true, not a single soul from Marvel would dare tell us the truth before November 4th. Without an outright admission, Feigi says the Eye of Agamotto can, “screw around with time.” If that isn’t a not-so subtle hint the relic has the power of the Time Stone, I don’t know what is. You be the judge.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
