Marvel’s Iron Fist Release Date and Teaser
Marvel’s Iron Fist premiere date and teaser were released today by Marvel and Netflix. On March 17, 2017, we will finally see the last Defender make his long awaited appearance on the streaming app. After critical praises for Jessica Jones, both seasons of Daredevil, and the newly released Luke Cage, Marvel will have us waiting in anticipation for the introduction of Danny Rand aka Iron Fist.
In a way, we’ve already been introduced to parts of Iron Fist’s story. Jessica Jones introduced us to both Luke Cage and lawyer Jeryn ‘Jeri’ Hogarth, played by Carrie-Ann Moss. Infamously know as Heroes for Hire, Luke Cage and Danny Rand are best friends and business partners in the comics. Also in the comics, a lawyer and businessman named Jeryn Hogarth was best friends with Danny’s father. After the death of Danny’s father, Hogarth became executor to his estate and essentially the boss at Heroes for Hire. For the Netflix show, the character was switched from male to female. In addition to these two connections from Jessica Jones, there was an Easter Egg at the end of Marvel’s Luke Cage in connection to Danny’s martial arts.
I’ve seen Daredevil fight down a hallway, Jessica Jones leaping up to rooftops, the Punisher shoot up an Italian restaurant, and bullets ricocheting off Luke Cage. Now, I want to see the strongest punch of them all with the mystic energy of the Iron Fist. If you haven’t seen any of the Marvel shows on Netflix, go check them out now online. You have less than six months to watch them before seeing Finn Jones in Marvel’s Iron Fist releasing March 17, 2017 on Netflix.
Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
