Luke Cage Answers Team Cap or Team Iron Man?

Luke Cage follows the likes of Jessica Jones, Daredevil season 1 and 2 on the popular streaming service, Netflix. You’d have to be under a rock not to know a certain ‘Hero for Hire’ would be popping up at the end of the month. With the highly anticipated release of Marvel’s Luke Cage on September 30th, the spotlight on Mike Colter is brightening.

Colter has been asked questions ranging from, if we’ll see Danny Rand aka Iron Fist to whether or not Luke Cage will be a part of Avengers: Infinity War. Unfortunately, he can’t give much away. We’ve seen him on Jessica Jones, but does he truly have a good grasp on what makes the character tick? Colter hints to his knowledge when asked a hypothetical question regarding Captain America: Civil War. He gives an answer only someone whom truly understands the character would give.

‘Team Cap or Team Iron Man?’, Colter was asked. Colter responded in typical ‘Hero for Hire’ fashion, “Luke would be, ‘Who’s paying more?'” Cage was firmly a part of Captain America’s team in the comics during and following the events of Civil War. He became an integral part of Cap’s Secret Avengers. When Cap made his choice to go against the Superhuman Registration Act, Luke Cage was immediately by his side.

You have to give it up for Colter, as he understands the character as not having met Captain America previously. It’s always nice to see that Marvel knows it’s not just the story, action or special effects, but the dedication of the actor that brings the character to life. Looks as if someone has been doing his homework. If that doesn’t get you excited to watch Marvel’s Luke Cage, check out the trailers below.
